Would a shiatsu massage belt help relieve me of my trapped wind and constipation?

July 31st, 2009 -- Posted in Constipation | 1 Comment »

I suffer with really bad trapped wind and constipation. When I rub and squeeze my belly for a long time, wind eventually passes. Would wearing a shiatsu massage belt on a regular basis relieve my wind and constipation?

No one will really know. You should change your diet and stop eating sugar, gluten and dairy.

Am diabetic and remain constipated , have to take laxatives daily , is it good to be laxative dependent ?

July 31st, 2009 -- Posted in Laxatives | 3 Comments »

I have chronic constipation , am diabetic from past 20 years and am on insulin from past 7 years , I remain so constipated that I have to take laxatives on daily bases , get a bulging feeling in the stomach , it swells out like a balloon although I do not eat much. Should I continue with laxatives ?

I would recommend that you include more fruits and vegetables in your diet and less meat and dairy. Since adopting this healthy diet, and exercising daily, I was able to quit all medications last year. I am regular as can be. how long did the bag stay on and did you have a good outcome?

not to scare you, but my great grandfather died of diverticulitis. i think you have to live with the bag. unless there are new alternatives.

does IBS(irritable bowel syndrome) ever go away?

July 31st, 2009 -- Posted in IBS-Irritable Bowel Syndrome | 1 Comment »

i am 15 and i am really sick of having diarrhea and cramps.

i usually get it around once a week, i get really bad cramps usually during the night, and its very annoying because im 15 and i want to have a life but this prevents me with the constant scare of, "oh my god what if i have to go" and im stuck in someone elses bathroom.

does anyone have any experiences with IBS going away.

i am on Rx for it but it doesnt seem to work very well. i am also taking Acidophilus to help diegestion, is that good?

It does not go away, but you can control it. My grandmother has to eat toast and cheese (the brick cheese) every morning, to ensure that she will not have an accident. She has been this way since she was like 25 or so. You are 15 so you should know what constipates you. Eat alot of whatever that is, and stay away from anything (like beans or lots of fruit) that will give you the runs. I hope this helps!

I have been told by the doctor that i have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) i need some advice..?

July 28th, 2009 -- Posted in IBS-Irritable Bowel Syndrome | 11 Comments »

How bad is this news?

I have had constipation ever since i was a baby (i am now 17) and it was always unpleasant but recently i started getting bad pains in my belly region and always feeling bloated. So i went to the doctor and he said i have IBS and gave me some spasmodics (or something like that).

Is there anything else i can do to ease the pain and discomfort? How will this effect my day to day life? and could it end up becoming something more serious like bowel disease or cancer?

Any Advice would be greatfully appreciated Thank You

Irritable bowel syndrome* (IBS) is a “syndrome,” meaning a group of symptoms. The most common symptoms of IBS are abdominal pain or discomfort often reported as cramping, bloating, gas, diarrhea, and/or constipation. IBS affects the colon, or large bowel, which is the part of the digestive tract that stores stool.
IBS is not a disease. It’s a functional disorder, meaning that the bowel doesn’t work, or function, correctly.

This will be a long learning experience for you. You will have to try to figure out what causes or irritates your gut.

Trust me, been going through it for over a year. I can’t drink soft drinks and sometimes even tea with dinner. Rarely able to go out to eat, something about dining out really gets me going. Spices, milk, red sauces are my big ones,

Very good link below, read and learn.

what are some natural colon cleansers that I can use?

July 28th, 2009 -- Posted in Colon Cleansers | 3 Comments »

I have trouble processing my food, so I need something that will move the food on through.

Physillum seeds are by far the best, they are called an internal broom!
They sweep out your colon literally, and move all toxic wasted!
I worked at GNC for awhile, and heard many success stories, !
Bean also works well, these items are relatively inexpensive and should be part of your daily cleansing!
Physilum works best dissolving I tablespoon int 8 ounces of fruit juice, ….3 times daily!
Many people have reported to have eliminated toxic coatings as long as 12 feet, I know it sounds hard to believe, but read it up on some web sites!
